Water is Essential to Your Life

We all know that water is essential to life. Staying properly hydrated is proven to improve your mental, physical and emotional health. But do you know how much water you should drink each day?

To stay properly hydrated throughout the day, here is a very simple rule of thumb to follow.

If you weigh 150lbs. and divide your weight by two you get 75. You should then consume 75 ounces of water each day to meet your minimum requirements. That equates to slightly more than 6 (12) ounce glasses of water each day.

If you currently consume much less than that each day, a great way to look at it is this. Drink two 12 ounce glasses in the morning, two more in the early afternoon and two in the evening.

Since 2/3 of your body is made up of water, keeping it hydrated is essential to your short-term and long-term health.

In the next blog post we will show you a simple way to ensure this becomes a daily habit for you. Until then, stay hydrated and stay healthy.
